Day 3 & 4

Day 3 & 4 has gone and "it's Fridayyy Fridayyyy gotta get down on Friddayyy" :)

despite this heat wave, we continue on w/ the work, inviting the ppl of NYC to connect w/ us and to make that "big change with a little change"

These past 2 days, the Lord has been blessing us in crazy ways and crossing our paths with amazing ppl!

from the friendly folks on the downtown 6 who sang with us, to the son whose parents were missionaries in the Dominican Republic, to the little girl who was willing to give a quarter, to the little girls who really really wanted us to do a singalong to Justin Bieber's "Baby".......it was a fun and blessed time :)

being used for the bigger picture, we were amazed to see people throwin in $20s & $5s to give to the mission/vision/cause of being the hands & feet of Christ in different parts of the world...
and in 3 hours we were able to raise about $150, praise God :D

Day 2

Each hand written by yours truly =) This is as raw as it gets folks. hand cut oak tags and a silver sharpie. We proudly handed out our makeshift connection cards to our supporters today. It is our wish to take you, the people of New York City with us in our journey beyond boarders to Santo Domingo and all our endeavors this summer. Our objective this summer is to plant/adopt a church in Santo Domingo. This involves reaching out to the community, building relationships, and gospel sharing.

one thing about NYC is that you folks have the heart to give. whether its little or a lot, or a simple smile or a clap of encouragement, we are indeed encouraged and entirely grateful. We are but two humble college students who said, "yes I will go" (in faith), but God is working mightily through the hearts of NYC. It is your generosity which compelled us to create SmallChangeBigChange, a bridge to connect your world to the lives of those you're helping.

Day 1 = $94.06
Day 2 = $40 and change

Day 1

SMALL CHANGE BIG CHANGE!!

no matter how little the effort, no matter the donation amount, no matter our wallet size, no matter how small the change... when our hearts are in it to winit & we're consistent, that small change can make a big change ;)

this blog is dedicated for those who support the mission & cause of not Bruce & JP, but for the cause of Christ~ being his hands & feet in the world is a big mission, and it always starts with the individual(s).

no need for piety or self-righteousness here, but the calling is "to do justly, love mercy, & walk humbly before our God"

my brother (inChrist) Bruce & i will be going on a missions trip to Santo Domingo inthe Dominican Republic from July 25th to the 30th, & stepping out the comfort zone and financial security America promises or urgency to pursue that security that American claims or promotes.... is as u can imagine hard to accomplish...

as much as our hearts are proclaiming "YESSS, I WILL GO"... our wallets are proclaiming, "NOOOO U WILL NOTTT"...
but to be held down by something as weightless as money, is a pity/shame, nonetheless reality...

and so, Bruce & i hope to live above the influence and popular belief and BE BOLD FOR CHRIST!

we went into the subways of NYC July 14th, utilizing the gifts&talents God has given us to make ends meet :)

and the lovely ppl of NYC contributed nearly $100 in less than 3 hours! simply amazing :)
as we went around the West Side along the red & blue line, we presented our cause and mission of these 2 broke college students, some were more than willing and amiable in every way... of course others glared & judged... but we brush the dust off our feet and move forward ;)

as we pleaded & encouraged the ppl of NYC to partner w us with as little as 1 cent... our attitude of gratitude put a smile to many faces in hopes that they would understand....... that small change can really make a big change :)

hope this blog would suffice for now and please feel free to comment and show some love!! YEAYUHH :D

we would also really appreciate continuous prayer for the cause and the work; prayer requests welcome too!!

JPeaceout.

here r some pictures from past mission work! ;D

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Romans 10:14-15
